Welcome to my new website. I’ve been hosting this site previously on G Suite, but have decided to migrate to a WordPress based website.
So what even is this?
This is my personal site, which I intend to use as a portfolio of my thoughts and my skills.
Enough about introducing the site. My name is Jerald Worthington. I’m a bit of a jack-of-all trades when it comes to technology, having been in the world of education technology from the years of 2013 through 2015 at the college level, then from 2015 to 2021 at the K-12 level.
Since March of 2021, I’ve been working for Metro Communications, an internet service provider based out of Illinois, beginning as an IT Administrator and the migrating to Senior Systems Engineer plus Network Engineer Tier-2 in September of 2022.
During my time working for Metro, I’ve worked on doing basic help-desk level skills, along with provisioning servers, both physical and virtual, for various tasks, along with working with our group of engineers to implement and migrate to carrier-grade network address translation (CGNAT) for our fiber-to-the-home networks, along with being involved with planning and implementing equipment migrations for our ROADM network.
I’ll be using this website to keep updates and musings about anything on my career as the primary focus, but there could every now-and-then be musings from my personal life as well, which I’ll plan on making a sub-section of the site just for that. Welcome to the new site!
